Does it enlarge our capacity to love when life becomes unbearably difficult?
Looking back, he no longer remembers those years primarily as a season of illness.
He remembers discovering another constitutional law.
The deepest beliefs are not those that explain suffering most convincingly.
They are those that quietly help us remain fully human while walking through it.
